Ideas For Eating Healthy Everyday

We have always heard – you are what you eat…. & that was so annoying. Yeah right, like that makes any sense!?! Ahh, yes, but now as we get older we see that it does. What we eat can have a direct bearing on how we feel & how we handle stress. Here are a few of our favorite breakfast, lunch & snacks ideas & some interesting videos on nutrition below.


Apple, Cranberry & Walnut Oatmeal, Whole wheat toast with honey, fruit & almonds, Quinoa with sliced strawberries, walnuts & a touch of salt, vanilla, cinnamon & maple syrup, Brown Rice with avocado, tomato & onion seasoned with salt, garlic, paprika, chilli powder & a squeeze of lemon


Veggie Wrap, Cucumber Bean Salad, Southwest Chicken Salad, Tuna Wrap, Chicken Salad Sandwhich, Broccoli Salad, Asian Quinoa Salad, Apple slices topped with tuna or chicken salad


Since we can easily consume too many starches & simple carbohydrates during the day our dinner usually consistents of a lean meat or fish with one or two vegetables that are higher in complex carbohydrates. We only have pasta, brown rice or potatoes on occasion. We have seen this is helping to keep our weight down & has slightly boosted our energy.


Cranberry Lemon Energy Bites, Green Drink, Bananas or Apples with Peanut Butter, Fruit & Yogurt, Spicy Cucumber Spears, Roasted Zucchini Sticks, Baked Potato wedges, Spiced Avocado Slices,  Zucchini crisps, Tomatoes topped with Mozzarella, Almond Butter Toast Sticks, Roasted Chick Peas, Cucumber slices topped with hummus, Zuchinni pizza bites, Almonds with a piece of fruit
